As a mural artist, I’ve had the honor of collaborating with renowned American artists to adorn the walls of this landmark location. Nestled in the vibrant heart of Bangkok’s Central World, our restaurant not only tantalizes taste buds but also offers a feast for the eyes. Each stroke of color on the walls, crafted alongside our American counterparts, echoes the culinary artistry found on our plates, creating an atmosphere where every detail is a celebration of creativity and indulgence. Join us for a culinary and visual journey unlike any other, where every visit is a masterpiece in the making.
A representative from Farg Design Studio had the opportunity to collaborate with The Cheesecake Factory when they opened their first branch in Thailand. At that time, we were given an exciting challenge—artists from America and India would be flying in to paint the restaurant, and they needed only two local artists from Thailand. We were thrilled to be chosen as part of this project.
Our representative had the chance to learn techniques from the American team, who provided tutorials beforehand to ensure we were well-prepared. The techniques were intricate, and we learned how to use a highly specialized sponge for the painting process. Before starting the actual work, we practiced on test panels made from the same wall material to perfect our skills.
When the day came to begin painting on-site, we got to meet the entire team, and everyone was incredibly talented and kind. Over the course of 14 days, we worked together to paint the entire restaurant. The technique involved layering colors using a sponge on dried paint, which was particularly challenging due to the high absorbency of the wall material. Despite the difficulty, we successfully completed the project, leaving behind a beautifully finished piece.
Today, we returned to restore parts of the original wall design, bringing back memories of the friendships we built during that time.
This post is a keepsake—a reminder of the time we worked alongside artists from different countries, sharing laughter and experiences. Every project we take on brings new connections and valuable lessons. It was truly a pleasure to have been a part of this journey. Until we meet again!
